Is there a cure for cancer? ‘Shocked’ cancer researcher is convinced she’s found it
According to modern medicine, cancer is incurable. Despite this, is there an alternative form of treatment that allows cancer-stricken patients a second lease on life? According to cancer researcher, Dr. Yuhong Dong, the answer is yes.
Dr. Dong has worked as a cancer researcher for many years with Novartis, a global healthcare company based in Switzerland. In all her years as a researcher, Dong has finally discovered that the cure to cancer is not found in the medical community, but in a meditation discipline called “Falun Gong,” also referred to as “Falun Dafa.”
Falun Dafa is a free-of-charge practice of mind and body that places emphasis on the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance” as a way to improve health and moral character.
Between 2000 and 2015, Dr. Dong and her team of researchers analyzed 152 terminal-stage cancer patients who started practicing Falun Gong. The primary cancers included liver, lung, stomach, gynecological, colorectal, pancreas/bile duct, leukemia, and esophagus.
These advanced cancer patients were advised by their doctors that they merely had months left to live, averaging five to six months among the patients studied.
“Most of them were dying at home,” Dr. Dong tells NTD. “One third of them were preparing for funerals.”
After these cancer-stricken individuals started practicing Falun Gong, however, they exceeded their doctors’ initial life expectancy prognosis, and lived an additional 56 months across the board—that is, up until the publishing of Dr. Dong’s research paper, which by that stage, 149 of the 152 patients were still alive and healthy.
A summary of Dr. Dong’s research was published at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meeting in June 2016, the largest international convention of oncology and clinical cancer research.
“Falun Gong practice can help terminal cancer patients survive significantly longer, in addition to notable symptom improvement,” reads Dong’s paper published by the ASCO.
“In addition, 97 percent of the cases had complete symptom recovery.”
Later, Dr. Dong and her team observed one patient, Professor Changning Wu, who had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Standing next to Dr. Dong, Professor Wu tells of his cancer having completely disappeared after practicing Falun Gong.
“I was an end-stage prostate cancer patient with bone metastasis,” Professor Wu tells NTD in a 2017 interview just outside Grand Central Terminal in New York City.
Prior to giving the spiritual practice a shot, Wu underwent hormone treatment for 19 months, “but the cancer came back.”
That’s when he tried his luck with Falun Gong.
“About one month after that, my PSA went down greatly,” Wu recalls. “Eight months after that the bone metastasis seemed to disappear, according to a bone scan. I’ve been off cancer medicine for over 10 months now. I’m a healthy person with no bone pain, a normal PSA.”
“I have a very optimistic outlook for my future,” added Wu.
“It’s all due to his practicing Falun Gong,” affirmed Dr. Dong. “I’m a doctor working in a hospital. I’ve been working as a clinical research scientist in a big Pharma for many years. I used very strict methods to analyze all these cases. After I got the result, I’m convinced, and I’m shocked—the healing power of Falun Gong is really amazing. This phenomenon definitely deserves more attention.”
Interestingly, Dong reveals that many of her patients who took up the Falun Gong practice experienced spiritual improvement followed by the disappearance of their symptoms, in that order.
Though Falun Gong is not for curing cancer but “cultivation practice,” Dong’s research indicates that Falun Gong practitioners have greater life expectancies, enjoy better health, and have a better quality of life through greater spiritual awareness.
